ER, Alyssa Santos and officers are representing Gardena Lodge 1919 at this year's National Convention happening now in New Orleans, Louisiana.

This is the first live blog of the Gardena Elks Lodge #1919 featuring the open meeting for the Installation of Officers for the 2014-2015 year .Officers to be installed:
- Exalted Ruler - Alyssa Santos
- Leading Knight - Matt Almaraz
- Loyal Knight - Marcya Holguin
- Lecturing Knight - Gustavo Huerta
Chairman of the Evening: James Mason, Past State President
Installing Officer: John Sutton, District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler
7:25pm - meeting room filling up, excitement in the air
7:30pm - Meeting called to order by John Sutton. Officers have been confirmed as duly elected and gives thanks the retiring officers. ER Reyne Rocha recognized for her service in the past year.
7:35pm - Officers to be installed escorted to the floor.
7:40pm Grand Chaplin offers a prayer for the new officers
7:41pm Officers take the oath (above).
7:43pm John Sutton offers up direction and guidance to the new officers.
7:45pm ER Alyssa Santos is brought to her new station & each officer is escorted to their respective station.
7:50pm - bestowment of jewels to each officer
8:03pm John Sutton declared the officers are duly installed.
8:05pm ER Alyssa Santos gives her thanks and her remarks as newly installed ER.

8:10pm installation declared closed.
